 "Sensoa — the Flemish expertise center for sexual health and HIV prevention published "BEND over seks" a new and free zine aimed at gay men that was distributed in the LGBT community. Launched in spring 2005.""


Growing up in the mid '90s was a wild ride, especially with all that homophobia and practically zero gay rights. Soon, I found my groove as part of the (then) AIDS-team and the guerilla-style "Roze Aktie Front" ("Pink Action Front"), causing a ruckus with demonstrations and antics in Antwerp and Brussels to make some noise about our existence.

Few years later, I switched gears to party mode, snapping pics at local gay hangouts and campaign material for local LGB youth organisations. When SENSOA hit me up for a collab, it just made sense – I vibed with their no-nonsense style.

We teamed up to flip the script on campaigns, giving the finger to the same old condom drawings in pamphlets. It might've raised a few eyebrows at first, but who needs another boring pamphlet? Times changed, nobody cared about those things.

In 2009 the project funding stopped and unfortunately wrapped up. But we left our marks, shaking things up in the ongoing saga of changing society.
