BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Meets
2024 October 05
Belgian photographer and visual artist Yves de Brabander invites you to an evening discussing his latest monographic work Come Clean on 23 October at 18:30 at the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Gallery Café, located at 30C Warren Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 5NF.
Come Clean, a compelling exploration of the intersections between identity, desire, and the complexities of societal norms. This thought-provoking publication, released by Paper Affairs, invites audiences into a visually rich narrative that challenges conventions and embraces the raw essence of the human experience.
De Brabander’s collaboration with Paper Affairs, alongside the support of fellow artist and friend Slava Mogutin, played a crucial role in shaping Come Clean. Their insights enriched the narrative, ensuring that the publication resonates deeply with themes of liberation and self-acceptance.

"A Journey of Liberation and Desire". The Belgian artist and photographer presents visual erotic poetry in his first ever monograph. Obsessive, fetishistic and unapologetically queer, Yves de Brabander’s work references religious imagery and classical masters, as well as arthouse cinema and Film Noir.
In four chapters the viewer witnesses how the male body serves as Yves de Brabander’s canvas. The deliberate act of getting dirty on his handcolored charcoal backdrop becomes a catalyst for acceptance, sexual identity, lust and desire in our ever-changing society.
